Invest in Real Estate in Las Terrenas
The hidden jewel of the Caribbean
The most visited and developed and ever growing section of Samaná, it is the perfect blend of a typical Dominican village and a dynamic cosmopolitan town. The entire waterfront is lined by palm trees and a five mile (eight kilometer) unbroken stretch of beach welcoming those arriving into the dreamy beach town that is Las Terrenas.
All along you will find a huge variety of restaurants from the no shirt, no shoes, feet-in-the-sand style, to fine dining, to pizza and burger joints and of course each has their variety of icy cold beverages to help keep the balance with the warm Caribbean sun. In passage you will also encounter many small Dominican fishing boats, the local fish market, tourist charter boats, beachfront villas and residences, small hotels, international bistros, apparel and arts and crafts boutiques, and lively bars as you make your way.
While the beautiful sand beaches located right in town are great for a swim, the surrounding Playa Bonita and Playa Cosón to the West will take your breath away, perhaps as much as the delicious fresh seafood served on site. Heading East toward El Portillo, the beach just keeps going and going and going, with less crowded, more private areas, where you can easily find your very own personal piece of paradise for the day.
When the sun goes down, the nights really come alive in Las Terrenas with all genres of music from Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, Reggaeton, R&B, and top hits along the ‘Pueblo de los Pescadores’ row of bars and lounges, uniting the area’s diverse residents under the stars.
Buying Real Estate Properties in Las Terrenas
The wonderful thing about the Dominican Republic is that there are no restrictions on foreign ownership of property, residents and non-residents enjoy the same rights and obligations.
To ensure a safe transaction and purchase of your property, hiring reputable and trustworthy real estate lawyer is a very important step. We are well aware that most first time investors here have little or no contacts in the Dominican Republic to begin with and we can suggest great legal representation for you.
Another important thing that will make the entire experience so much easier is to work with professionals who speak your language, both real estate agents and lawyers; clear communication is definitely the key!
